Jolly is a solid shooter being able to create space to get off his shots. He has the ability to make plays that gives his team a spark when they are in need of one.
For this upcoming season Jolly has been working on improving his game to get to the next level. He has specifically worked on being able to finish at the rim through contact in order to expand his ability to score to all three levels. He has also spent time in the offseason learning how to step up and become a better leader for his team.
Jolly is in the foundation stage of his recruiting. He is starting to build relationships with different coaches, but he currently does not hold any offers as of yet. He is looking forward to setting up some visits to different colleges in the near future.
“I’ve talked to a couple coaches, but I’ve yet to go on any visits,” said Jolly. “I’m going to set some up (recruiting visits) in the upcoming months.”
Jolly has big goals for this next season with the Pirates. As an individual, he would like to win the Big 10 Conference Player of the Year Award. For his team though it is all about the ‘ships’. The team aspires to win their conference, regional, area and state championships this season as they look to improve upon an impressive showing from last season.
As for what he is looking for in a college it’s simple for Jolly. He wants to go somewhere that will help him grow as a player and a person. He realizes that there is more to college than just basketball and will be pursuing a degree in criminal justice while in school. He hopes this degree will give him the opportunity to become a homicide detective in the future.
