Wilson attends Henry Ford Academy School For Creative Studies and played grassroots basketball for 1Nation. Last season, he averaged 16.2 points per game and 3.4 assists per game.
Wilson is a multifaceted point guard. He can attack the rim off the dribble with a quick first step or bury a triple off the dribble. Wilson has a solid mid range game as well. He’s a true floor general that takes pride in his ability to put teammates in scoring positions and hit the open man with an accurate pass. Wilson is a quiet, but very effective leader. Teammates see his hustle and determination and follow in turn.
Wilson uses improvement and experience to become the best player that he can be. He is currently working to get stronger. He’s been a regular in the weight room to improve in this area. Wilson’s best moment in the game of basketball was when he had 34 points, all off mid range jumpers and 3 pointers, against North Farmington. This season he is looking forward to matching up with Ypsilanti Lincoln, who features Emoni Bates and Simon Wheeler.
Josh Wilson has a lot to offer to a program at the next level. First of all, he can shoot from basically anywhere on the floor. He’ll provide a college coach with a point guard that effectively sets up and runs an offense. He brings a ton of leadership and heart to any team that he plays on.
Wilson is focused on his long term goals. He wants his Henry Ford Academy SCS squad to make it past regionals. Wilson wants to excel in school and maintain good grades.
Josh Wilson will, quite simply, be a steal for whatever college program he ends up at. He will be a valuable prescense on and off the court.
