This will be the third straight year the Indians will make their way down to South Florida. In the past two seasons playing in one of the best high school basketball tournaments, McEachern has an overall record at 7-1 and taking home the City of Palms Classic championship last season.
They have defeated some of the nation’s best high school programs down in Fort Myers, Florida. Simeon (IL), Paul VI (VA), Miami Christian (FL), Hudson Catholic (NJ), Ranney School (NJ), Mountain Brook (AL), and Imhotep Charter (PA) are the top programs the Indians have defeated in the same tournament with their only lost coming to University School (FL) back in 2017.
The Indians will be coming in as the defending tournament champions and this year’s City of Palms Classic field is expected to be loaded once again this December like always. Other programs like Archbishop Stepinac (NY), IMG Academy (FL), Roman Catholic (PA), and West Oaks Academy (FL) are expected to participate in this year’s tournament. Other Georgia programs have participated in this same tournament over the last few years. Schools like Norcross, Wheeler, Upson-Lee, Pebblebrook, and others have competed in the City of Palms in the past.
