Recruiting Report: Jaxson Robinson 2021 Wing
Following an awesome summer with Team Griffin on the Nike E16U Circuit Jaxson Robinson planted himself firmly in the national conversation for the best shooter in the country for the 2021 Class. As one could expect with a breakout season, Robinson is hearing from numerous NCAA Division I High Major schools.
After entering the Spring with zero offers, Robinson now holds nine with more than twenty schools showing him interest. TCU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Wake Forest, and UT Arlington have all offered him. Recently, Robinson has been busy touring college campuses and meeting the staffs at the universities who have offered him. This past weekend he went to TCU Elite Camp and hung around for an unofficial visit. TCU was the first school to pull the trigger on Robinson. Robinson not only enjoyed his trip to TCU but also came home with some hardware winning the three-point contest.
As Robinson looks at his fall calendar it is filled with visits. He told Prep Hoops he plans to attend Oklahoma September 7th, Texas A&M September 14th, Arkansas October 19th, and Baylor to be determined. Robinson is excited to get a better feel for each school and more importantly the coaching staffs.
“The thing I’m looking forward to the most is getting to meet the coaches at each campus and being able to start to build a relationship with them,” said Robinson. “Also I’m ready to get to see what their playing styles may be like and if I can fit into them.”
The excitement of Robinson to gain more knowledge around the recruiting process is building.
“I’d say I’m pretty excited because I’m taking them to two schools that I haven’t ever been on their campus,” said Robinson. “I get to see and meet some new faces.”
Look for the recruitment of Robinson to continue to take off over the next year.
