These are the players that I think everyone should be watching very closely, going into the next live event! Live Period Dates: July 11th-14th/July 23rd-28th
DaRon Holmes 6’9 2021 F Millennium/PHH UAA
DaRon Holmes is the top prospect in the 2021 class in AZ. He has received an incredible amount of offers and has seen big programs come in such as Kansas and UofA. Holmes is continuously getting better due to his insane work ethic and just his growing into his own body. Holmes will continue to attract schools throughout his high school career.
Maxwell Lewis 6’6 2021 F AZ Compass Prep/Dream Vision
Maxwell Lewis is one of the most entertaining prospects in the state. This kid is an athletic freak and can put on a show every transition opportunity. He does not shy away from making the big highlight plays, as I’ve seen him eastbay in game before! Maxwell can also shoot the 3 ball very well and I think he’ll see a big jump in his recruiting.
Carson Basham 6’10 2021 F Sunnyslope/Team Arsenal
Speaking of a big jump in recruiting, Carson Basham is blowing up. A lot of schools have recently taken notice of him and are now bidding on him. He has received a lot of interest and offers within the last month. You should definitely check him out if you are a college coach. No hype here with Basham, kid can play.
JT Elder 6’6 2021 F Cienega/PHH UAA
JT Elder is a very versatile player and has an insanely high ceiling. It has really surprised me that he is currently without a D1 offer. Many schools are interested but no one has officially pulled the trigger…yet. I believe Elder gets his first offer this month and that will kick start his recruiting train.
Colin Carey 6’6 2021 F Sunrise Mountain/Factory
Colin Carey is 6’6 and can shoot the lights out. Do you need to know anything else to be in on this kid? That type of size and shooting ability is hard to come by and is a great tool to have in college. He will probably grow some more throughout high school as well, both in height and overall game. I’d start looking into this kid now.
