John Lovelace Jr.- ABC Young Lions (16U) Stock: Through The Roof
John Lovelace Jr.’s stock has broken the charts this spring. Playing for ABC Young Lions, Lovelace impressed multiple times while playing on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He has a smooth jump-shot, can get to the rim well with his 6’6″ frame, and he possesses plenty of athleticism. Scoring 10.8 points per game on Wauwatosa East during his sophomore season, the guard is poised to put his name on the map during his junior campaign.
Tre White- Mac Irvin Fire (16U) Stock: Through The Roof
Tre White is playing up an age group, but it is barely noticeable. White is scoring 29 points per game on Mac Irvin Fire’s 16U team, and his phenomenal spring has allowed him to get a tighter grasp on his number one rank in the 2022 class. White has already made a small splash nationally, but don’t be surprised when the ripples get even bigger this summer.
Alex Huibregtse- Phenom U (17U) Stock: On The Rise
Originally playing on Phenom U’s NY2LA team, Alex Huibregtse was called up to Phenom’s premier EYBL squad. The move to pull Huibregtse up has already paid off. He has played in nine games for Phenom on the EYBL circuit, logging meaningful minutes in each game. He’s averaging 8.2 points per game during those nine matchups, and it’s evident that Huibregtse could be a key player for his team this summer.
Dalton Banks- D1 Minnesota (17U) Stock: Peaking At The Right Time
Playing on one of the best AAU teams in the country, Dalton Banks has had a great spring. Banks has become the glue for D1 Minnesota, often playing ferocious defense and making open shots. Many players would blend in due to D1’s top tier talent, but the 6’2” guard stands out because of his effort and ability to dish to open teammates. After his final year with D1 Minnesota, Banks will be well prepared for another outstanding year at Eau Claire North.
Jeffrey Brazziel- Wisconsin Playground Club (15U) Stock: Steady Climb
Already one of the top freshmen in the state, Jeffrey Brazziel followed up his great freshman season with a phenomenal spring. He led Wisconsin Playground Club to multiple deep tournament runs and already has all of the intangibles necessary for stardom. The 6’5″ wing can attack the hoop and convert on mid-range jump shots with ease. If Brazziel stays of the same trajectory, he has the potential to become a player who will be nationally ranked.
Jalen Johnson- Phenom U (17U) Stock: Steady Climb
Jalen Johnson will not be surprising anyone with his great play anymore. The Nicolet and Phenom U superstar has continued to prove that his top five rank nationally in the 2020 class is warranted. Johnson has led Phenom U to a 12-2 record on the Nike EYBL Circuit. The 6’9” G/F is averaging 17 points and 6.4 assists per game against some of best competition nationwide. Expect Jalen to continue his dominance as Phenom looks to take home the Peach Jam crown this summer.
Terrance Thompson- Wisconsin Playground Club (17U) Stock: Steady Climb
Boasting a spring AAU season that was filled with plenty of D1 offers, Terrance Thompson has established himself as one of the top prospects in the 2020 class. Thompson can torch the nets with his shooting ability and has proven to be one of the better defenders in the state. The 6’7” big man does not put up monstrous numbers, but his impact on both ends is what makes him so appealing.
Caden Boser- Wisconsin Swing (16U) Steady Climb
Already a prolific shooter, Caden Boser has been able to expand his offensive toolset this spring. At 6’7″, Boser can bully smaller defenders in the paint, while still being able to shoot over them outside. Boser has used spring to show that he has the capability to become one of the best scorers in Wisconsin.
