He was constantly playing smart, especially under the goal where he would throw pump fakes and draw fouls. When he draws fouls and gets to the line, Williams is a very good free throw shooter. He finished through contact well and didn’t let it alter his shot. You can tell just by watching that he’s always very comfortable on the court and is a savvy player. He was able to block shots and stay in front of people with his long arms and frame. Williams never tried to force anything or do too much and that really played to his advantage this weekend, as his size and game is sure to be desired by college coaches. Williams can also shoot the ball some, he’s a streaky shooter but his touch leaves room to improve.
Strengths:
- very strong and controlled, can get to the rim at will
- nice touch, smooth
- finishes through contact, plays through the foul
- great free throw shooter, nice touch
- utilizes his pump fake well, gets his man up in the air
Weaknesses:
- loose with the ball, needs to tighten up his handle
- gets lost in the fold rebounding, doesn’t attack the glass
- sometimes turns foul happy on defense and tries to swat too much
