The spring AAU season has only one weekend left and then players will return to run with their high school programs for June. Continuing with a look at the 2020 class, let’s take inventory of which Seniors are raising their stock heading into summer ball with their schools and, eventually, July AAU.

[player_tooltip player_id="706008" first="JJ" last="Traynor"], Bardstown - Since seeing Traynor in November of 2017, I’ve been waiting for him to turn his potential into production and he’s finally doing just that. Coming out of the only spring live period, JJ has been offered by Western Kentucky and Ball State. He still needs to add bulk but Traynor is long and athletic and his skill level keeps rising.

[player_tooltip player_id="915106" first="Cody" last="Potter"], Shelby Valley - Another recipient of a D1 offer, Potter has gotten his first offer from Eastern Kentucky. Cody has played AAU with a Tennessee program and continues to shoot from deep at a high percentage. Potter still has a ways to go defensively but the way he scores, he can be a role player immediately at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="915116" first="Joe" last="Meador"], Franklin County - Meador continues to show his potential with his length and athleticism. Joe has been able to knock down open shots from behind the three point line and finish around the rim. He still has a ways to go but Meador could be a breakout player in the 11th region this season if he’s utilized and allowed to play through mistakes.

[player_tooltip player_id="915110" first="Dre" last="Boyd"], Warren Central - Boyd has been a big time stock booster this spring as a prospect. He’s long and athletic with great motor. Boyd needs to continue to stay in the gym and become a better shooter but his ability to get to the rim is his best asset. Combine that with his athleticism and motor and it’s easy to see Dre making an impact at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="915122" first="Cam" last="Underwood"], Butler - Quickly becoming one of the best shooters in Louisville, Underwood continues to grow his game past just being an energy guy who can bring a spark off the bench. Don’t be surprised if Cam becomes a breakout player in the 6th region next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="783068" first="Rodrell" last="Dryden"], Dunbar - Dryden has had some of the biggest statistical games of the spring with lofty rebounding numbers and ability to finish around the rim. He still has to improve as a shooter and passer but as a run and jump athlete, Rodrell is showing that he can be a difference maker in Lexington next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="706056" first="Amirion" last="Joyce"], Bourbon County - Recently enrolled at Bourbon County, Joyce has good length and athleticism and should become a better point guard under the tutelage of Lamont Campbell at Bourbon. If Amirion can become a more consistent shooter from distance and at the free throw line, he’s going to be a high D2 player at worst by the time he graduates. More likely a D1 talent.

[player_tooltip player_id="915143" first="Stephen" last="Moore"], Fairdale - Moore is one of those players that everyone inside of Louisville knows and respects but hasn’t gotten the shine out of Louisville that he probably deserves. A versatile guard that is likely to be one of the best players in the 502 this season, Moore is having a big AAU season with Ambition and will be a solid college contributor whatever level he lands at.
