The amount of talent at the Big Shots Greensboro event was outstanding, although we didn’t get to attend the entire weekend, we were in the building for a good amount of games on Saturday. The 2020 Class stood out as well as a few of the members of the 2019 class that are still available and the 2021 Class has begun to show what they bring to the table.
Greensboro Warriors 2020 Forward Noah Dunn: He still is recovering from the torn ACL that he suffered but you can see the talent in his game for sure. One of the first things that you notice about his game is his physical play, he plays at a maximum effort and doesn’t mind physical play at all when he is inside the paint. He scores it efficiently as well as being a high level rebounder and a very competitive player, D2/LM programs should be keeping a close eye on him over the next year.
Team Wall SE 2020 Forward Jaden Scriven: College coaches should be hitting Mr. Scriven’s phone as his stock is constantly rising due to the way he has been playing over the past few months. Scriven is a grown man in the paint, he embraces contact well, makes plays above the rim and can stretch his game out of to three point land as he can knock down shots well.
Flight 22 2019 Guard Talton Jones: He has already committed to Cape Fear CC and should be a player that makes an early impact on the program as they graduated multiple players at the guard spot. His size as a PG, ability to facilitate, defend multiple positions and being a winner are all things that we feel will only help him as he plays on the next level for a team that has been consistently nationally ranked over the last few years.
Big Shots West VA 2020 Guard KJ Mclurg: Each time we see him, he seems to get better, his ability to score the ball is something that will grab your attention early, he is the type of player that seems like he can score 30 points without putting too much effort into it. Knocking down the trey ball, beating defenders off the dribble and making plays above the rim are all things that he does for his squad.
Team Felton 2021 Guard Jaquantae Harris: This was our first time getting a chance to see Harris with his AAU squad and we like the transition he has been able to make as he is seeing more time off the ball with such a high amount of guards. He scored it well all while making sure he doesn’t over dribble or try to go one on one more often than he should, he has a smooth shooting stroke and displayed some outstanding passing ability as well.
