#GrindSZNKickoff: Saturday afternoon 15U standouts
Kaden Cooper 2022 Buddy Buckets Gold point guard (pictured above)
- Shooter
- Playmaker
- Scoring guard
- All-around
- Bouncy
Kaden Cooper impressed me with his raw versatility at the point guard position. He scored 23 points in his Saturday matchup with Missouri Flight as he was unstoppable every time he had the ball in his hand. He could create his own shot from 3-point lane out of the dribble, and his release was so quick that no defender was able to stop him from getting a shot up. He has all-star caliber bounce, as well, as he capped off three fast-breaks with a dunk. At 6-foot-3, he’s taller than the average point guard, but still has all of the skill. He also dominated at the rim and displayed the ability to finish with either hand through traffic. Additionally, Cooper can rebound the ball exceptionally well and plays great defense in a man.
D’andre Titsworth 2022 Tulsa Titans wing
- Hustle guy
- Fast
- Scorer
- Rebounder
- High motor
D’andre Titsworth is a fast, explosive player who can create his own shot and can score the basketball. Offensively, he is great at moving off-ball, creating space and knocking down shots, but he can also take it to the hole out of the dribble and draw the foul. He can rebound well on both ends to help his team’s success and always chases loose balls. He had 14 points for the Tulsa Titans in their matchup with High Plains Storm and was a dominating force in every aspect of their game.
Roberto Hernandez 2022 High Plains Storm wing
- Scoring guard
- Lanky finisher
- Shooter
- Consistent
Freshman baller Roberto Hernandez is certainly one of the most complete players in this division. At 6-foot-5, he has a pretty expansive game. Hernandez can shoot the ball exceptionally well and has a plethora of guard skills. He handles the ball well, can pass and can lead the floor. His length allows him to score with ease as his shot is nearly impassible by any perimeter defender at this level. If you allow him to get his momentum, however, you don’t want to be under the rim when he comes downhill.
