Expect plenty of fireworks in this matchup with both teams having their fair share of players that can score the ball at a high level.
Mount Zion vs New Life: These teams met early on in the season at Mount Zion with Mount Zion getting the win in the final moments of the game. Now New Life will have a chance to get their revenge as they host Mount Zion at home. The Monarchs have been playing at a much higher level as of late and seems to be getting ready for their conference, state and national tournaments that will be coming in the next few weeks.
Southern Durham vs Hillside: Anytime you have a rivalry game like this, there is always the chance of some fireworks. Add in the fact that both of these teams have some pretty impressive talent and outstanding records, only makes the pregame talks even more exciting. Southern Durham features Senior Wing Jayvis Harvey who initially was head to Radford but decided to reopen his recruitment while Hillside features Senior guard Traylen Warren who is an under the radar prospect with freakish athletic ability.
Word of God vs United Faith: The Holy Rams march into their matchup tonight with a 10 game winning streak, looking to finish off their final three games in winning fashion. WOG Senior Wing Max Farthing is one of the top unsigned seniors in the state as well as one of the top shooters, D1 programs should definitely be trying to scoop him up.
New Hanover vs West Brunswick HS: The teams met earlier in the season with West Brunswick getting a 4 point win over Hanover. New Hanover will look to get a win of their own as the host team and will look to their Senior Guard Jalen Anderson as one of the players to provide them with some much needed buckets. West Brunswick Sophomore Guard Makaoa Suriago is one to keep an eye on as he recently has a 20 point, 4 Rebound game against North Brunswick.
South Granville vs Bunn: Neither team has an extremely impressive record but both teams have prospects that are worth a look. South Granville features Juniors Micah Jones and Wy’kiese Allen as well as top Sophomore Guard Bobby Pettiford. Bunn features sophomore big man Xavier Jones, who at 6’7 is still raw but has plenty of upside and plays the game with a very high motor.
Dixon vs Pender: Dixon will look to lean on their Junior Guard Everett Lewis who has been playing at a pretty high level, Lewis is averaging over 16 PPG as his team hold a record of 13-9 currently. Pender looks to Junior Guard Jajuan Carr for a good amount of their offense as he is averaging just under 22 points a night.
