Quarterfinals
Okarche 58 Kiowa 51
Okarche withstood the run from Kiowa in the second half pulling away in the last couple of minutes for the seven-point victory. The leader in points for Okarche was Kaleb Harris who scored the majority of his 15 points from the free-throw line. Kiowa put up a great fight, but in the late moments of the game, Okarche was able to get critical stops on defense.
Cyril 78 Frontier 48
Cason Mclemore led Cyril to a blowout victory over Frontier with a stellar 24 point performance. It was widely known that Mclemore was one of the best scorers in Class A entering the tournament and he proved it to be true Thursday afternoon. Cyril looked really talented never allowing Frontier to get going. Leading Frontier was Brandon Warrior with 16 points.
Glencoe 90 Whitesboro 88
It was a packed house at Mustang for the first night game at 7:00PM. For the majority of the game, Whitesboro could not cut the Glencoe lead under 5 points. As the clock ticked down late in the fourth quarter Whitesboro had their opportunity down just two points with the ball. The shot came up just short advancing Glencoe to the next round. Cale Lazenby led the attack for Glencoe on the offensive end.
Fort Cobb-Broxton vs. Garber
Fort Cobb-Broxton took care of business dominating Garber from start to finish, 74-52. Kellen Hines scored the first 14 points of the game it was truly an impressive start. After checking out early in the fourth quarter, Hines still ended with 35 points to pace all scorers.
Semifinal Round
Cyril 80 Okarche 53
If the first two days are any indication to how Cyril will play in the State Championship game the opponent will be in trouble. Jakobie Kaesemeyer 2020 Cyril Guard had himself quite the day leading the way with 20 points. This game was over by the end of the buzzer of the first quarter. Cyril advances to play in the state championship game.
Fort Cobb-Broxton 54 Glencoe 40
Fort Cobb-Broxton put together a brilliant performance against Glencoe to advance to the championship game on Saturday. The victory puts Fort Cobb-Broxton up against Cyril. The two schools split the season series 1-1 with the last game being a victory for Fort Cobb-Broxton just a week ago in the Area finals. If Fort Cobb Broxton wins they will have won five state championships in a row.
Championship
Fort Cobb-Broxton 52 Cyril 57
The run for the fifth straight Gold Ball for Fort Cobb-Broxton came up short at the hands of Cyril. Cyril took home their first championship in over 80 years.
