Zeph Smith was absolutely brilliant at the Titan Classic. He can safely be named among the elite scorers at the tournament. Smith has next-level speed with a great pull-up jumper and the ability to go the length and go up strong. Smith is a shifty ball-handler who can get the separation he needs to create his own shot.
Xavier Brown 2021 Muskogee Roughers wing (5’11”)
Xavier Brown is a dominant player who can score at the 3-point line and can drive in for the score as well. Brown is a physical, athletic player who plays much bigger than his listed height. He is the epitome of heart over height and has been a game-changer every time I have seen him this year.
Kobe Higgins 2019 Del City point guard (5’9”)
Kobe Higgins finishes really well at the rim. His ability to get there in the first place is impressive, also. Higgins can score at a high rate with his driving skills and toughness. He finished with a team-high 17 points in Del City’s second-round comeback to Carl Albert and was arguably the most important player for the Eagles all weekend. For his high motor and great scoring, Higgins was named as the MVP of the 2019 Titan Classic.
Cyrus Harmon 2019 OKC Storm wing (6’0”)
Cyrus Harmon impacts the Storm in the scoring game and in grabbing rebounds. He has a pretty good shot and is really comfortable from the catch. He rebounds well with the use of hustle and technique; he boxes out well and positions hisself where he can be the best candidate to benefit from a missed shot.
Markhel Stillwell 2019 Lawton Ike wing (5’11”)
Markhel Stillwell was a great scoring addition for the Lawton Ike Eagles at the Titan Classic and gave his team an important edge as a floor general. He passes the ball well and is a reliable spot-up shooter, but can also take the ball to the rim and get the shot to fall or draw a foul. He gives a ton of effort and has a never-ending motor.
Marquise Haliburton 2019 Lawton Ike guard (5’10”)
Marquise Haliburton does a great job for Lawton Ike as a scorer and floor general. He is easily a ten-plus point per game type of player, usually hitting a few 3’s per game and getting the ball around for the Eagles. He helps his teammates get in scoring position by making sharp passes. Each time I have seen Haliburton this season, he has played a very good game.
Tae Pendleton 2019 Santa Fe South point guard (6’0”)
Tae Pendleton was a ferocious scorer at the rim for the Saints over the weekend. He dropped 18 points in the consolation game against Lawton Ike. Pendleton is a very talented ball-handler and gets to the rim with ease, creating his own shots and finishing well. With the effort he gives on the floor, he naturally comes by free throws pretty easily and knocks them down.
