There were a lot of talented players that stood out on Day 2 of the
Player Recaps
Julien Smith / 6’2” / Combo / Northwest / 2020
Smith is a tough bucket getter that likes to isolate players on the perimeter and score on them off pull up dribbles. Smith can force the envelope at times and do too much which may lead to turnover.
Sam Freeman / 6’9” / Center / Northwest / 2019
Freeman has a big time motor and runs the floor hard for a player his size. Freeman is an Elite rebounder and shot blocker. He plays with nastiness at all times and doesn’t back down from anyone on the floor.
Max Abmas / 5’11” / Guard / Dallas Jesuit / 2019
Abmas is fast in transition and can score it himself or find the open man on the break. Abmas shoots it well from deep and can hit multiple threes from different spots on the floor. Abmas is also a capable passer that can find his teammates when open.
Julius Marble / 6’8” / Forward / Jesuit / 2019
Marble has a college ready body to go along with his athleticism and physicality. Marble likes to face up on the offensive end and show off his ability to shoot it when open or attack from 19 feet and in. I would like to have seen Marble post up more on smaller defenders because he’s definitely skilled enough on the inside to do so. If Marble figures out how to use all his gifts and a more efficient way he could end up being an all conference college player down the line.
