2020 6’9 Kwaku Ay | Middleburg Academy
Kwaku is not one of the first options to give the ball to for Middleburg just because they have so many other options that are a year older than Ay, but when the 6’9 junior gets the ball he makes most of his opportunities. He only finished with six points Saturday in a win against Riverdale but all three buckets came from a nice right hook shot over his defender. Look for Kwaku to keep making strides as he gets older.
2020 6’0 Keyshawn Johnson | Archbishop Carroll
Keyshawn was lights out for a heavy guard oriented Archbishop Carroll team. He finished with 15 points in a win against Bullis and all of those 15 points came from long distance. Look for Keyshawn to play a major role for Carroll this year as they continue to make strides in the WCAC.
2020 6’10 Tegra Izay | Archbishop Carroll
Another key piece to Carroll is their 6’10 big man. He was a matchup nightmare against Bullis and is one of the better big men in the WCAC. If he has mismatches while on the court, I would love to see the Carroll guards take note of it and constantly feed him the ball so he can go to work around the rim.
2020 6’3 Cory Barnes | Archbishop Carroll
Barnes finished with 13 points for Carroll. He was beating guys to the basket off his dribble and also drawing fouls while attacking which led to him getting to the free throw line. Barnes is another guard that will have a big impact for Carroll.
2020 6’3 Marcus Dockery | Bishop O’Connell
Dockery was probably one of the best long term prospects at the event Saturday and the future Maryland Terrapin had it rolling from the start. He was finishing with powerful dunks in transition and shooting the ball well from his spots. This is a key transfer for Bishop O’Connell as they try and chase down DeMatha for the top spot in the WCAC.
