Tuesday Night Matchups to Watch
It’s a busy night in the state with all types of games and matchups going on, so let’s take a quick glance at some of the games you will want to drop in and see.
Grays Creek vs Pine Forest: This game has a chance to be a good one, with both teams having a high amount of upper classmen on the roster. Pine Forest features 2019 Guard Adrian Elliot and Wing Miles Ray who are both college prospects, while Grays Creek features 2019 Wing Antonio Dupree and 2019 Guards Christian Crockett & Trevor Thomas.
Marlboro County vs 71st HS: The Falcons have gotten off to a quick start this season with a record of 3-0 so far and with each win coming by more than 10 points. They get production from 2019 Forward Brion McLaurin as well as 2019 Wing Tre Bell and Guard Demauriea Nickelson. We got the chance to see Marlboro County this summer and were impressed with the amount of talent they had with multiple players that can play on the college level.
Freedom Christian vs New Life Christian: Freedom is coming off a recent win over Wayne Country Day, while New Life is looking to rebound from a difficult week last week with 3 losses in a row. This game should have plenty of fireworks as both teams are looking to get on the right track headed into the heavy part of the season. FCA 2019 Guard Brandon Murray and 2020 Guard Ambaka Le Gregam are both players that have put together some nice performances this season. New Life has multiple players that have had good showings and feature a roster that is just about all 2020 prospects.
Cape Fear Christian vs Grace Christian: The two programs are not very far from each other location wise and both are looking to keep positive starts to their season. Grace Christian has multiple college prospects and a rotation of plenty of 2019 talent such as: Nate Yow, Evan Cheek, and Julian Steinfield whie CFCA has multiple 2019 prospects of their own: Guards EJ Bethea and Riley Adams are two that have been playing at a high level, while Wing Marcus Owens and Center Michael Okoye are ones to keep an eye on.
Calvary Day School vs Wesleyan Christian: CDS is off to a slower start this season but don’t count them out just yet. Anytime you have a player like Jackson Gammons on your roster, then you have to be confident that you have a chance to win. However things will not be getting any easier for them as WCA has a roster with numerous college prospects are off to a 4-0 start.
