The Lancaster Duo: Lancaster vs. Kimball Game Recap
Kimball vs. Lancaster Game Recaps
There’s been a lot of good games early on in the state of Texas and on Wednesday November 15th at the Ellis Davis Fieldhouse in Dallas there was another big time early matchup. The Lancaster Tigers vs. Kimball Knights game was very exciting early on and looked like it was going to be a track meet. Lancaster took advantage of that playing style and caught the Kimball Knights off guard with their intensity on the defensive end. The Kimball players struggled early on to advance the ball up the court due to how athletic the Tigers are as a unit. Lancaster standout guards Mike Miles and Wade Taylor led their team on both sides. These two elite guards were under control all game and knew when to start the break or slow it down on the offensive end. Kimball seemed like they didn’t know how to counteract what Lancaster was throwing at them and as a result, the Knights Of Kimball ended up losing to the Lancaster Tiger 84-60.
Players of the Game
Mike Miles / 6’2” / Pg / Lancaster / 2020
Mike was very good for the Tigers tonight, and against Kimball he consistently penetrated the defense and finished with strong takes at the rim, floaters and assists to his teammates. Mike also showed the ability to shoot the ball off the catch or off the bounce.
Wade Taylor / 5’10” / PG / Lancaster / 2021
Taylor is getting better every time I see him and against the Kimball Knights he showed why he is a national recruit. Wade is as fast as any guard in the state and in the country. He left defenders at a stand still with his change of directions and nice crossovers. He hit multiple three pointers as well which made it even more difficult to stop him yesterday.
Jalen Roberts / 6’0″ / Guard / Lancaster / 2019
Roberts is an elite athlete that flourishes in transition with and finishes at the basket with good body control. He will dunk you if you’re not careful and one Kimball defender had to find out the hard way when he recovered too late and tried to contest Jalen at the rim. Roberts is an unsigned senior that D3/NAIA’s and Juco’s should come watch.
Cobe Williams / 5’11” / PG / Kimball / 2019
Cobe is one of the most explosive guards in the state. Against Lancaster he got to the rim often where he finished at the rim, or kicked it out to his shooters. His team was down by a lot majority of the game but Williams the (Louisiana Tech commit) showed that he was up for the challenge by hitting several pull up jumpers over defenders.
