Top Rebounders from the Oklahoma Prep Hoops Top 250
David Oyona 2023 6’9 Post
Oyona is a beast in the paint using his size and strength to his advantage. Despite being just a 14-year old in the 8th grade, Oyona was tougher and bigger than everyone on the court. He made his presence known early on the glass with huge offensive rebounds finished off with jams. Oyona is learning the game more and more each time he steps out on the floor. The big fella clears the boards very well for his age and just continues to get better. He is going to have a chance to not just play NCAA Division I basketball, but in the pros, if he continues to grow in physical stature and on the basketball court.
Trey Alexander 2021 6’4 Wing (Heritage Hall)
Alexander is widely known for his scoring talents. However, at this camp, I love the intensity Alexander brought to the glass fighting for rebounds showing he will do anything to help his team succeed. He was one of the better Wings at rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor all day.
Josh Robinson 2019 6’6 Wing (Norman North)
Robinson is a well-built Wing for the game of basketball nowadays. He has the ability to switch 1-5 and be a solid defender. One of his greatest abilities is going hard after rebounds using his length and athleticism to bring down the basketball. Robinson has several small colleges after his talents. It helps on top of his basketball talents he has a 35 on his ACT.
Jaylan Thomas 2019 6’5 Wing/Forward (Tulsa Central)
Thomas was not afraid to bang down low and go after rebounds. In college, Thomas may end up transitioning to the Wing. One of the things that will help him is his knack for going after the basketball. Thomas was instrumental in clearing the boards for his squad the entire camp.
Brock Davis 2020 6’6 Forward (Holland Hall)
Davis used his explosiveness to snag boards at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Camp. He was great at blocking and adjusting shots then tracking down the misses and getting the outlet pass to his teammates. Davis has a big winter ahead of him.
Sam Godwin 2020 6’7 Forward (Southmoore)
Godwin is an up and coming guy who burst onto the scene this summer with Team Buddy Buckets. Upon moving to Southmoore Godwin is going to face new challenges also giving him new opportunities to shine on the bright Class 6A stage. The sneaky athleticism will surprise many this fall. What will make Godwin standout the most is the constant effort he brings to the floor. The kid has a motor that just never stops.
