- Dontaie Allen, Pendleton County – The top overall player in the rankings, Dontaie is a big time shooter and scorer who can play the 2 or 3 on the wing and score on about anyone in the country. Allen had a massive summer that launched him to being a national top 50 player and Kentucky commitment. Look for Dontaie to be the front runner for 2019 Mr Basketball most of the season.
- Kyle Rode, Lexington Christian – I’m truthfully not sure what position Kyle will play at Liberty next season. He’s a point guard at LCA and played the 3 or 4 for Indiana Elite in the summer. I think he ultimately settles in as a big wing at the next level but his positional versatility is his biggest attribute. There aren’t many kids who can play every spot on the floor but Kyle manages to do it every night out for LCA.
- Jacob Hobbs, Central Hardin – Another player who is hard to assign a position group to because of how he plays. Jacob projects as a power forward in the mold of current Lipscomb player Eli Pepper but he plays out on the wing a ton too. I see him as a stretch 4 type of wing that plays outside on offense but guards interior players on the defensive end. With his athleticism it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jacob play anywhere from 2-5 in college.
- James Nicholas, Hopkinsville – James is a really athletic wing who will try to dunk on anyone who gets in his way. Finally back to form after multiple leg injuries the last few seasons, Nicholas is primed for a big season for the Tigers. Nicholas has good size for the position at 6’4 and can shoot the ball when he’s confident in it.
- Carson Guthrie, Mayfield – Carson has a good frame at 6’5 and has the athleticism you’re looking for in a prototypical wing. Guthrie has gotten some low D1 interest and has all the measurables to play at the low D1 or high D2 level next season. For right now, Carson is looking to put his stamp on the first region this season and lead Mayfield to Rupp Arena before he graduates.
