McCorkle Commits
Ben Bryson2021 guard Carson McCorkle of Greensboro Day has committed to Virginia. The Garner Road AAU program product was offered by Virginia about two weeks ago and went ahead and sealed the deal for Tony Bennett and company. McCorkle is a skilled guard that can score with ease from almost anywhere on the floor. He is fundamentally sound and has good size at the guard spot. His basketball IQ is through the room and this commitment is the epitome of perfect fit. McCorkle can play at a fast pace or in the half-court set and will fit perfectly in the Virginia system.

In His Own Words
2019 F Matt Smith of Independence HS on recent Charlotte offer, “Honestly it feels great to know I have an opportunity to play in my own city and have an opportunity to put them on the map again.”
2020 guard Ben Bryson has added the pieces to his game to be considered a mid-major prospect. Now at 6’3, Bryson is as quick of a guard that I have seen in a while. High basketball IQ, fundamentally he is head and shoulders above many at his age.
Saw Ren Dyer of North Buncombe HS again tonight. I have covered a lot of kids in last 12 years, Dyer plays harder with a non-stop motor than any of them. His shot is getting more consistent, and is now a good foot and a half above the rim when attacking. LM-MM should be watching.
