Recruiting Report: Miles Mallory (2019)
Scan the list of available post prospects in the DMV, and the name Miles Mallory screams sleeper. Mallory has consistently produced at Pallotti over the past couple of years, but this year he will be asked to do more than in the past. During a recent interview with Prep Hoops, the high IQ senior spoke more on his overall game and recruitment.
PH: What do you think has been the most improved part of your game recently?
MM: “Just being more aggressive. Getting more rebounds. Stuff like that.”
PH: What’s the most underrated part of your game right now?
MM: “Probably passing.”
PH: What do you need to work on?
MM: “Probably more of my shot and ball handling. More guard stuff.”
PH: Which schools are recruiting you the hardest right now?
MM: “Hood College and Wilkes College.”
PH: How are your grades right now?
MM: “I’ve got a 3.7 GPA right now.”
PH: What’s your role going to be like this year at Pallotti?
MM: “I’m going to try to guard the best player every game.”
PH: Even the guards?
MM: “Maybe.”
PH: Would your defense be another underrated part of your game?
MM: “A lot of people tell me they like my defense. So I don’t think so.”
PH: How tall are you right now?
MM: “6-foot-5, 6-foot-6.”
PH: What about your wingspan?
MM: “83 inches (6’9).”
PH: What is the timetable for your college decision?
MM: “Maybe after the season.”
PH: What do you think you can bring to a college program?
MM: “A bunch of effort. And a good attitude.”
