Prep Hoops Top 250: 2019 Standouts
The Prep Hoops Top 250 was a very successful event! There was a lot of talent in the gym and the players were competing for their chance to stick out to a college coach. Here are the Class of 2019 standouts:
Aidyn Parrish (North Canyon) 2019 G:
Parrish was by far the best shooter in the gym. He was very impressive, not only shooting it at a high rate but with how deep he shot the ball from. He also impressed me a lot with his passing ability. He made some highlight worthy assists. I really like his game, he is a guard who is not afraid to get on the boards, shoots extremely well, and has great vision.
Keaton Rodgers (Sandra Day O’Connor) 2019 F:
Keaton was able to score at will. He has always been a very good attacker/finisher but he really shot the ball well today. He knocked down multiple three’s and looked great in every area of his game.
LaTrell Swan (Pinnacle) 2019 C:
LaTrell really impressed me defensively. He turned away a lot of shots, having multiple games with 5 or more blocks. If he can develop more on the offensive side of the ball, he would easily be one of the best bigs in the state.
Richie Dowse (Ironwood Ridge) 2019 G:
Richie was a bit of a surprise today. He is one of the smallest players in the event but still played pretty well despite his size. Richie is a very pest-like defender, constantly in your face and constantly applying pressure. Although he struggled to score the ball himself, he managed to make the correct passes to get others on his team some shots.
