NC Class of 2021 Top Prospects
The amount of talent in the 2021 class is outstanding and you don’t have to look very far to see this, lets take a glance at the top prospects in this class. Don’t be fooled to think that the only D1 talented players in this group are at the top of the list, as this class could be one of the deepest (talent wise) that we have seen in quite a few years.
Greensboro Day Guard Carson McCorkle recently made his commitment to UVA and we feel like this will be a great fit for him. He’s a super athletic player that can score the ball in bunches but doesn’t force things. Cam Hayes comes in at #2 and after seeing him at the Triad Summer League, we were just as impressed with what he can do an the potential he has. Guard Dontrez Styles in the next in line at Kinston HS and he comes in at #3 for the rankings in his class. There is plenty to like about what he brings to the table including the size and skillset from the guard spot, he already holds a HM offer and should only get more as time goes on. The player that is currently at #4 could possibly move up some more before it’s all said and done, he is very talented and athletic player that can do plenty of things from the PG spot. Bobby Pettiford from South Granville HS is the young man that we are talking about and if you haven’t gotten the chance to know his name, you will know it for sure before it’s all said and done. GDS Forward Josh Taylor brings a lot of upside at 6’8 and will be a player that should contribute at a nice rate for the squad. Right behind him at the #6 spot is Mr. Carter Whitt who is a player that we have seen a lot of even since his early middle school days, he should have another big time season year and catch the attention of quite a few college programs.
