Michigan Boys Basketball Dual Sport Stars: Part 2
The fall season of high school sports in Michigan is underway. It’s important to remember that many of the basketball players that we watch in the winter, are involved in multiple sports. We looked at a few of these athletes earlier: Michigan Boys Basketball Dual Sport Stars
Here is a look at a couple more basketball players who excel in other sports as well…..
Cartier Muse-Suber (2019, Wayne Memorial)
Muse-Suber is a constant headache for opposing coaches. The forward can take bigger players off the dribble, while pulling smaller defenders into the paint. Muse-Suber is an excellent finisher around the rim.
Muse-Suber will be on the football field this fall. He is an athletic and explosive Defensive End and Wide Receiver for Wayne Memorial. Muse-Suber is looking to send a message this season. He’s looking forward to proving that he’s one of the top football players in Michigan.
“Playing multiple sports and multiple workouts everyday is just getting me stronger and more in shape to help with the other sport. Football helps with basketball and vise versa.”
– Cartier Muse-Suber
Thomas Dillard IV (2022, Kalamazoo Central)
Dillard is full of potential as a basketball player and has an excellent attitude and work ethic. He’s an energy player who can spark his team and is always engaged. Dillard is an elite defender. He can score in multiple ways, including off rebounds and by getting to the basket.
This fall, Dillard is running Cross Country for Kalamazoo Central. He’s looking forward to competing at a high school event for the first time. Dillard likes the conditioning aspect of the sport and that cross country will get him in shape for basketball season.
“It allows me to continually work on my body and helps me stay healthy and in shape, which in the ends allows me to be prepared for all my sports.”
– Thomas Dillard IV
