Gathering a list of players and choosing which rank best fits the individual was an extremely difficult challenge, but we do our best to keep them updated every three months. We love finding out about new players, and we’ve done so since our last update. Here is our breakdown piece covering a few of the significant newcomers.
#17 | JOHN WILSON | 5’11 PG | ST. JOHN’S
NYC native John Wilson has transferred to St. John’s and will likely compete for significant minutes this season. The crafty and quick lead guard played up with 17U Sports U on the UAA this summer and held his own.
#18 | DAVID N’GUESSAN | 6’9 SF | MT. ZION PREP
We haven’t seen David N’Guessan play in person just yet, but the video below shows his unique blend of mobility and ball skills for his size. It looks like he will find a few ways to contribute at Mt. Zion Prep on both ends of the court.
#26 | BENDJI PIERRE | 6’7 SF | BISHOP WALSH
Another new player to this region is 6-foot-7 wing prospect Bendji Pierre. The New Jersey native is a skilled wing who can defend well as a result of his long arms and motor. If you watch the video below, you will see how fluid Pierre’s movements are, how he is able to use his length to his advantage, and that he has nice touch.

#29 | JOSH ODUNOWO | 6’7 PF | RESERVOIR
Josh Odunowo is a player we’ve seen a number of times in the last six months, and he seems to get better with each viewing. He’s come a long way in the last 16 months, and it will be fun to see where he is even 6 months from now.

#30 | BRYAN BRESEE | 6’5 PF | DAMASCUS
Bryan Bresee probably won’t play basketball in college, but we’ve been informed that he will be suiting up at Damascus this winter. The nation’s top overall football prospect for the 2020 class will be a major force if he decides to play. At 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds, Bresee glides up and down like a freight train, but with the control of a mini cooper.
