East NC Fab 40 Camp: Where are they now pt.2
Charles B. Aycock Guard Eli Batts is headed to Barton College, Batts can shoot the ball at a very high level, and doesn’t try to do more than what he is comfortable with. He moves well without the ball, and we feel that he can transition to the next level rather smoothly, great kid and student that will be an asset to the program on and off the court.
Holly Springs HS Wing Erik Alvey will be doing a prep school season at Next Level Prep, Alvey is one of the better athletes in the state. His ability to score the ball and play above the rim are things that have caught our attention as well as the attention of coaches at the college level.
New Hanover HS PG Freddie Taylor will be taking his talents to Brunswick Community College and running the PG for them over the next few years. Taylor has the toughness that you love to see from a player that has to be your floor general, he can score the ball, defend and facilitate at a high level.
Terry Sanford HS Wing Gabe Harbsion will remain in the city as he will be playing his college basketball at Fayetteville Tech CC. Gabe does a nice job of giving a high amount of intensity on the defensive end of the floor, these next two years will determine if he ends up being a D3 or D2 college player.
Cape Fear Christian Academy Guard Isaiah Tatum is taking his talents to Bluefield College and should be a player that should make an early impact at Bluefield. We love his ability to break down the defense in multiple ways and he is a player that can score the ball in bunches, but don’t get it confused, he brings the same amount of intensity on the defensive end of the floor.
Riverside HS PG Jadakis Bonds has D1 talent on the basketball court as well as the football field so it just was a matter of choice for Jadakis. Eventually he decided to go the football route and take his talents to Hampton University, however don’t be shocked to see him lace up the sneakers again for the Pirates in the future years.
