Lindsey Attracting New Suitors
Taking advantage of the off-season, Mineral Point (Wis.) 2020 shooting guard Isaac Lindsey has had a good month of June. Coming off back-to-back strong performances at Wisconsin’s advanced and team camps, Lindsey appears primed for a potential breakout in July.
Following junior contact day last Friday, Lindsey heard from north of 15 different programs.
“There’s a ton of schools that have been calling me,” Lindsey told Prep Hoops Wisconsin. “They all seem pretty interested.”
Lindsey holds offers from DePaul, UW-Green Bay, South Dakota State, UNLV, and UW-Green Bay.
The Blue Demons were the latest high major school to offer Lindsey, pulling the trigger in April.
“I know they like to score the ball and like scorers,” he said. “They really like my game and how I fit into their system.”
Since former UNLV assistant coach Rob Jeter moved to Minnesota, Lindsey said contact with the Rebels has been non-existent.
Among his other offers, Lindsey said the rest are making a strong push.
“South Dakota State has been talking to me quite a bit,” he said. “Milwaukee too, they always check in. Green Bay has called a couple times as well.”
High majors Purdue, Wake Forest, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Butler have all been in contact with the junior sniper. Lindsey played in front of the Badgers each of the last two weekends and received positive feedback.
“They said they’re interested,” Lindsey explained. “They just said to keep working hard and doing what I’m doing.”
Lindsey has also heard from UC-Irvine, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Ohio, Miami (OH), Colorado State, and Portland. He will take part in UNI’s team camp this weekend.
Open to making an earlier decision, Lindsey will re-evaluate his recruitment following the upcoming July evaluation period.
“I think I’m going to wait for this AAU season to go by and see what happens in July,” he said. “I think that will help me know if I want to make a decision here.”
