Capitol Hoops Summer League 6/5 Notebook
HYATTSVILLE, MD — Prep Hoops was back in the gym on Tuesday at the Capitol Hoops Summer League, where several players stood out. Here we unload our notebook from the day featuring evaluations on many of the uncommitted prospects we saw.
6’5 SF Quincy Allen | Maret | Class of 2021
Skilled wing with good size. Moves well laterally and in a straight line. Has good length. Fills the lanes correctly in transition and spaces the floor well in the half court.
6’4 SF Raphe Ayres | Maret | Class of 2019
Good three point shooter from the catch. Good passer. Brings good size to the wing position.
6’4 SF Curtis Nixon | Maret | Class of 2021
Lanky wing who can defend a variety of positions. Can shoot the 3 from the catch. Has nice touch around the basket
6’2 PG Teo Rice | Maret | Class of 2020
Fundamentally sound lead guard who has good court awareness and size. Has good body control. Seeks contact on drives to the basket. Can shoot the 3. Good athlete with long arms. Plus defender.
6’0 PG Saxby Sunderland | Flint Hill | Class of 2022
Lanky lead guard with broad shoulders. Looks like he is definitely still growing. Good primary ball handler.
6’11 C Qudus Wahab | Flint Hill | Class of 2019
Elite shot blocker. Demonstrates fluid movements. Plays with a very high motor. Finishes through contact. Runs the floor. Still improving.
6’2 SG Alex Williams | Maret | Class of 2020
High energy guard who can defend multiple positions. Good three point shooter from the catch. Sneaky good athlete.
