Wilson rising in the 2018 Oklahoma Class
Over this past calendar year, Mo Wilson has flown up the charts in the Oklahoma 2018 Class. After a huge summer with Oklahoma Power, he has led Northwest Classen to a 15-1 start in Class 5A. Wilson is a versatile 6’6 Guard that has colleges very intrigued as the April signing period approaches. SNU is the latest school to offer Wilson.
He holds offers from several very good NCAA Division II programs with a ton of JUCO’s after his talents as well. For Wilson, the choice he will have to decide over the next few months is to sign with a good NCAA Division II program building for success over his four years there or take a risk and go to a JUCO in hopes of landing an NCAA Division I scholarship after two years.
The good thing for Wilson is he will be successful with whatever he ends up choosing. He is the type of player who could become an NCAA Division II All-American by his senior season or with the JUCO route and two years of hard work could land himself at the NCAA Division I level.
What makes Wilson a player colleges are clamoring for is the height, wingspan, and build of his body mixed with his basketball talents. Wilson makes others better on the floor with his ability to score, see the entire floor, create offense for teammates, hit open teammates with crisp passes, and Wilson plays tough defense. The long arms of Wilson invade the passing lanes leading to steals and easy transition baskets on the other end.
Wilson is a leader on the floor, which just adds to the reasons why colleges are after his talents.
