Player of the Week: Week 5
We have officially entered 2018 and are 7 weeks away from postseason basketball in the Commonwealth. We received a nice group of nominees this week from all across the state:
Trey Meister, Scott High – Made All Tournament team at the Lawrenceburg, Indiana tournament. Over 3 games, the Junior averaged 16 points, 12.3 rebounds 4 assists and 1 block per game. Also had a really nice lob dunk:

Jobby Howard, Caverna – The Senior Guard finished the week averaging 32.7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game as Caverna went 2-1 and tied for first place at the Nelson County Christmas Classic.
Mickey Pearson, John Hardin – The senior leader of the Bulldogs averaged 31 points and 15 rebounds per game while his team went 3-1 at the Lake Cumberland Holiday Classic.
David Johnson, Trinity – The Junior was named MVP of the FBI Classic and finished the Championship game with 28 points (7-8 from 3), 13 rebounds and 5 assists.
Adam Kunkel, Cooper – Cooper’s Senior leader was named MVP of the Traditional Bank Classic after games of 32, 21, 19 and 20 points.
