Weekly Dish: Recruiting News & Notes
College visits and commitments are heating up around Kentucky, with college prospects taking advantage of official and unofficial visits. Prep Hoops Kentucky covers the week that was in recruiting around the Bluegrass.
- Beckley Prep (WV) (and former Fern Creek stand-out) wing Chance Moore officially committed to Wichita State this week. Moore chose the Shockers over Butler, Dayton, and Virginia Tech.
- Warren Central stand-out guard Skyelar Potter signed a NLI and committed to Wright State. Potter had other offers from Lipscomb, Kentucky Wesleyan, and Miami (OH).
- Pulaski County’s Steven Fitzgerald signed his NLI of to play at Samford. Fitzgerald has been verbally committed since the end of summer.
- Former Kentucky high school stand-out and Western Kentucky prospect Jordan Brangers has now committed to play at Colorado State.
- 2021 Sheldon Clark big man Trey James took in a Northern Kentucky University game this weekend. He has visited other schools such as Morehead State, Marshall, West Virginia, and Western Kentucky.
- Former Ballard High School and Fork Union (VA) stand-out forward Corey Douglas signed a NLI to play at VCU next season. Douglas Was at Rice with now VCU head Coach Mike Rhoades. Douglass is averaging a double-double thus far at Tallahassee Community College.
- Corbin’s Andrew Taylor signed his NLI to play at Furman. Taylor has been verbally committed to play at Furman since the end of the summer.
- Mercer County’s Trevon Faulkner signed his NLI to play at NKU. Fualkner has been verbally commited to play at NKU since the end of the summer.
