Weekly Dish: Recruiting Reports
College visits and commitments are heating up around Kentucky, with college prospects taking advantage of “midnight madness” visits, official, and unofficial visits. Prep Hoops Kentucky covers the week that was in recruiting around the Bluegrass.
- John Hardin forward Mickey Pearson committed to play in the A-10 at St. Louis, under from Kentucky Wildcat standout Travis Ford. Pearson is a top five prospect in Kentucky’s 2018 class.
- Now-Adair County superstar guard Zion Harmon (2021) took an unoffical visit to Kansas on Tuesday and was a guest at Kentucky’s “Big Blue Madness” on Friday. Harmon was the starting point guard on state champion Bowling Green as an 8th grader last season and played with Team USA this summer.
- Another 2021 stud, 6’10 Trey James out of Sheldon Clark, visited Western Kentucky and Marshall this weekend. James is considered by most to become a high major prospect.
- Taylor County’s Tre’Von Smith also visited Western Kentucky during their “Hoops Hysteria” event on Friday. Smith is a member of Kentucky’s 2019 class and already holds an offer from Morehead State.
- 2018 Lexington Christian forward Austin Hall committed to the University of the Cumberlands. Hall was also being recruited by a host of other NAIA programs.
- Former Fern Creek stud Chance Moore (Beckley Prep) just ended a week that saw him receive offers from Virgina Tech, Wichita State, Dayton, and Butler.
