Dee played very well at he DMV Elite 80 & showed a very, very good vertical & an excellent shooting stroke. He is in tremendous physical condition with a very lean & strong frame. Allin Blunt, 6’6″, F, 2019, Gonzaga College HS Washington, DC, 2019.
Grassroots Team: Maryland 3D
This spring & summer Allin made great strides in his game for powerful Gonzaga HS. He has dedicated himself this off season & he is in fantastic physical condition. Allin proved his ability to score from the 3 point line & inside. He is a very good defender & rebounder possessing excellent strength. He will be a heavy contender to earn a starting role for the Eagles or be a significant rotation player. Cameron Brown, 6’5.5″ CG, 2019. Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders HS. Greenbelt, MD.
Grassroots Team: District Basketball Club.We know Cameron very well & love his game. He is a very versatile CG who has now grown to a tad over 6’5″. Cameron is currently ranked @ #25 in our MD/DC rankings. He can play up to 4 positions in HS but will translate to a CG in college. Cameron possesses great fundamentals, high IQ & can score from all 3 levels. He had an excellent summer playing in the DeMatha BSN & for the District Basketball. Cameron plays bigger than his size & impacts the game in many ways. His skill-set, great work ethic & upside will translate him to the D1 level. Cameron will be a go to player for the Raiders this season who have the potential to reach the MD 4A final 4 at he University of MD.We will following Cameron & the ER Raiders in great detail this season with live game reports & player articles.
Stephen Cannady, 6’1″, PG, 2018. St. Vincent Pallotti Panthers HS Laurel , MD.
Grassroots Team: 6th Man Warriors
This summer Stephen was awarded 2nd Team All Star in the prestigious DeMatha BSN Summer League. He played the PG position this spring & summer where Stephen will project in college. He possesses a very high IQ & runs the PG position with great efficiency. He can play off the ball when needed & can rack up points in bunches. He can score from the 3 point line & at the rim with an arsenal of crafty moves. Stephen is a very solid all around defender & he is a spring & summer stock riser. He projects as D1 PG and this spring was offered by D1 Canisus. We will be covering St. Vincent Pallotti this season with live game reports & individual player articles. This month we will provide a Pallotti team overview article The Panthers are members of the very tough MIAA red division in Baltimore & last season played every BCL except Loyola & St. Maria Goretti.
Savion Gallion, 6’4″, WG, 2018, Thurgood Marshall Academy HS Washington, DC.

Savion performed very well in the Prep Hoops 250 expo last Saturday & in the DMV Elite 80. He can beat his man off the the dribble from anywhere on the court & excels in transition. Savion has proven he can score from the 3 point area & mid range. He plays with a very high iq, is a ball mover & excellent passer. With his long wingspans he can get in lanes for deflections & steals in addition to playing excellent on ball defense. Last season he was named All Washington DC 3rd team which was loaded with great players which consisted of 4 team & an Honorable Mention.We will be covering Savion & Thurgood Marshal this season with live game reports & individual player articles. Anwar Gill, 6’4″2019, Gonzaga College HS Washington, DC, 2019.
Grassroots Team: DC Blue Devils
Anwar made a full recovery from his foot injury near the end of Gonzaga’s regular season & played excellent basketball in the DeMatha BSN Summer League. At he beginning of the BSN he was just beginning to play again, but came on tremendously after a few weeks and earned 1st Team All Star. Anwar will be a potential starter this season with only 2 positions open. He is a D1 prospect & currently ranked @ #18 in our 2019 MD/DC rankings. He is an excellent defender with potential to become elite. Anwar plays with a high motor & excels at attacking the rim in transition or the wing. He has become a very good shooter & his handle is now very solid. We will be covering Anwar & Gonzaga in great detail this season with live game reports & player articles. Nigel Haughton, 6’0″, G, 2018. John Carroll Patriots HS Bel Air, MD.
Grassroots Team : Team Melo Red
Nigel is currently ranked @ # 54 in our very deep 2018 MD/DC player rankings. He plays with a very high IQ is a very reliable floor general. He can knock down perimeter 3s with consistency. Last season Nigel averaged13 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game. This spring Nigel received an offer from Loyola of MD & he maintains a very impressive 3.8 GPA. Last season he manned the PG position full time when 6’3″PG Immanuel Quickley was injured. Immanuel is ranked #10 in the nation & just committed to Kentucky while 6’4″ WG Montez Mathis recently committed to Rutgers. With the addition of 2019 high major 6’7″ WF/WG Yavuz Gultekin, rising 6’6″ sophomore Cameron Beyers, the Patriots have the talent to be nationally ranked. Josiah Marable, 6’8″, C/PF, 2018, Wilson HS Tigers. Washington, DC.
Grassroots Team: DC Premier 16 & U
Josiah continues to make great strides since the end of Woodrow Wilson HS season. He will be a key starter for the Tigers this season providing an excellent post presence. Josiah has worked very hard & has slimmed his body down & he is close to peak condition. He can score on the blocks & is an excellent rim protector. Thru hard work Josiah has developed a nice outside shot an increased his mobility. We will be covering Josiah & Woodrow Wilson in great detail this season wih live game reports & player articles. Phillp Smith, 6’5″ WF/WG, 2019. Bullis HS Potomac MD.
Grassroots Team: Mid Atlantic Select 16 & U.
Phillip has had an excellent summer playing in the DeMatha BSN Summer League, MD Elite summer League for Bullis HS & Mid Atlantic Select. He will start this season for a loaded Bullis team who we believe is a top 10 DC/DMV preseason team. In mid July Phillip suffered an ankle sprain & has bounced back very well. At the DMV Elite 80 he displayed why he should become a D1 recruit, with his ability to score from all 3 levels & defend. Phillip has a very high basketball IQ & he is a winner. He will do the intangibles & is an excellent facilitator. Kevon Voyles, 6’3″, WG, 2019. Stephen Decatur Seahawks HS Berlin, MD.
Grassroots Team: New World (VA )
Last season Kevon helped lead Stephen Decatur to the MD State 3A semifinals by averaging 17 ppg & 5 rpg. He was named to the 1st Team All Bayside North Team & we awarded Keyon 1st Team all MD Non DMV team. He can score on or off the ball from all 3 levels & Kevon is a very good defender who can guard multiple positions. Joshua Wallace, 6’2″, CG, 2019. DeMatha Catholic Stags HS. Hyattsville, MD.
Grassroots Team: DC Blue Devils
Joshua had an excellent summer for the DC Blue Devils & transferred to DeMatha this summer from St. Mary’s Annapolis where had great sophomore campaign. He is pass 1st PG with great vision & facilitation skills. Joshua possesses a very high iq & plays with a revved up motor the entire game. He utilizes his excellent handle to break down defenders & get in the paint at will. When needed Joshua can score well from all 3 levels with potential to score in bunches. His hard nosed perimeter defense is excellent & Joshua is a winner. This season he will team with 2019 WG Justin Moore, 2019 CG Jahmir Young, 2019 G KJ Holton, WG Deven Richmond & possibly University of MD soccer commit Justin Gielen to form one of the best & deepest back-courts in the DC/DMV. DeMatha has the firepower to be ranked in the nations top 25 if healthy & their chemistry meshes.
