Last season the Mustangs finished @ 17-5, but were upset by a very good good Parkdale team 43-42 in the Prince Georges Regional Playoffs.
Head Coach Antonio Williams is entering his 6th season as the Bladensburg Head Coach & he is very optimistic that the Mustangs can make a deep run the MD A State playoffs. Coach Williams has done an excellent job in placing the Mustangs back on the basketball map where they have recorded 16-7 & 17-5 records in the last 2 seasons. Previously, the once PG County power had just 2 winning seasons in the last 10 years which were in 2006/7 with a 19-5 record & in 2010/11 @ 12-11. We last saw the Mustangs at the University of Maryland Team games in June, where Bladensburg was very impressive in their cohesiveness, toughness, diversity & skill. We will be covering the Mustangs this season with live game reports in addition to individual player articles. In the next week we will be writing Recruiting Reports for several players in this article.
