Recruiting Report: Colt Savage (2018)
The July live period has come to an end. Colt Savage made the most of his time in front of college coaches, which has led to a few college offers. Missouri Western, Central Oklahoma and Cameron have all offered Savage in the last month. Oklahoma Baptist offered Savage last year.
“Recruitment has been starting to pick up,” Savage said. “I’m looking forward to having a great senior season with my team this year.”
Savage returns to Sand Springs for his final high school season. He has been a mainstay in the lineup for the Sandites since his freshman year. He has averaged double-digits in scoring each year. This year appears to have the making for his best personal year on the court with Kyle Keener graduating and moving on to Central Oklahoma. Savage is a dynamic Guard that can do a little bit of everything from handling the ball to scoring at all three levels and making high basketball IQ plays. From what I have seen in Savage over the past three years college coaches are also likely recruiting him because of his leadership qualities as well.
Savage has large goals to finish off his career at Sand Springs with a bang.
“My team goals are to make the state tournament this year,” said Savage. “To to be a good leader for our team being a senior.”
As for what Savage will be looking for in a school, he kept it pretty simple and to the point.
“I’m just looking for a great fit in a school and to have a great relationship with the coaches,” said Savage.
Prep Hoops projects Savage to the Low Division I to High Division II level. For more information email Matt@prephoops.com
