Kyle Stivers is a 6’2 guard from Franklin County High School in Frankfort, KY. Last season, the Flyers finished the season 14-19 overall but caught fire late and took home the 41st District tournament championship. “Last season went well. Our team fell short of on a couple of our goals but h,ope to bounce back this year,” said Stivers. “From an individual stand point, I don’t feel like I reached my potential as a sophomore and plan on having a big year this year.”
Stivers is currently a top 30 player in Kentucky’s 2019 class. He averaged right at 10 points per game as a sophomore last year and shot over 46% from the field (32% from 3-point range.
This summer saw Stivers compete with Pocket City‘s AAU program out of Evansville, IN. “Summer ball is a completely different level of competition, but feel like I had a solid summer.” Kyle’s focus during the off-season was improving his strength and conditioning. “I also did a lot of individual skill work while trying to be more of a knock down 3-point shooter, as well as trying to expand my mid-range game, and being able to create off the bounce and get to the rim.”
Stivers does well on the court and in the classroom, where he maintains a 3.43 GPA. In looking for a school to play for at the next level, Kyle had this to say – “I’m really looking for a quality program with coaches that care about their players. I’d also want to be able to compete for playing time.”
Currently holding no offers, Kyle has heard from Northern Kentucky and Goshen College.
