Prospect Spotlight: Antwavon “Pig” Williams (JUCO)
Antwavon “Pig” Williams graduated from Mason County High School in 2016. After helping the Royals win the 10th Region tournament title. Over a year later, Williams is more mature and has learned from off the court experiences, ready to take on what opportunity comes next.
Antwavon’s senior season at Mason County saw the Royals go 22-11 overall. Williams averaged 20 points per game and 5 rebounds, shooting the ball at a rate of 42% from the field (34% from 3-point range).
Williams spent last season at TNG Prep Acadmey in Athens, Tennessee. “It was a great year, I met new people and learned more about the game of basketball,” said “Pig”. After a season at TNG, Williams is now ready for the next step. “I have a lot of expectations and goals for my freshman year at Columbia State (JUCO). My main focus is to get bigger and push myself to be the best player and teammate possible.”
This off-season saw a focus working on every aspect of his game. “My main focus was on getting quicker and working on my jump shot being more consistent.”
Williams considers himself a fearless player who won’t back down from anyone. “In the classroom, I feel like I’m pretty good but can always be better but that’s part of life. Striving for greatness in every way.”
After a year or two at Columbia State, Williams hopes to find a school at the D-1 level with great leadership and a lot of pride. He currently holds no offers, but hopes that changes after a year at the JUCO level.
