The DMV’s leading scorer, 6’1″ CG Dom Fragala from Champe HS in NOVA committed to Niagara in the same time frame as Keleaf. Additional 2017 DMV players who will attend Post Grad prep Schools.
Tunde Scrivner, 5’10” PG, HD Woodson Warriors HS. Washington, DC. Carolina Basketball Academy (NC)
Tunde was awarded 3rd team All Washington, DC this spring by DMV Elite. He has a very good handle, can facilitate, get to the rim & hit 3s. He is an excellent college prospect.
Michael Speight, 6’3″, CG, Wise HS Pumas. Upper Marlboro, MD. Canterbury School (CT)
We awarded Micheal 2nd Team All DMV I-495 last season & he was very close to being named 1st team along with his teammate, 6’6″ CF Darron Barnes. Additionally, he was chosen to the 1st Team Washington Post All Met, 1st Team All Maryland by DMV Elite, & 1st TeamAll State by MD Sports Access. Wise finished the year ranked #2 in the DMV by the Washington Post with a 21-1 record. In the post season he was chosen to play in several All Star games including the Capital Classic & he played very well against the USA All Stars. Micheal is clearly a D1 player & held D1 offers from Towson State, Sam Houston State, USC, Canisius, Winthrop and New Hampshire. He is a powerful CG who can score from all 3 levels, facilitate and defend. In our opinion Michael can become a high major recruit for the correct college & fit.
Terence Lewis, 6’7″,F, National Christian Academy Eagles HS. Fort Washington, MD. Combine Academy (NC)
Terence had an excellent season at NCA & he was awarded 1st Team All Capital beltway Conference & chosen to play in Capital Classic All Star game. In the game he scored 10 points & grabbed a game high 9 rebounds. We awarded Terence best Rebounder and DMV Elite chose Terence as The Most Improved Player for the Maryland State All Team where he was named to the 3rd Team. He was a low D1 mid major recruit last season, but Terence’s stock is rising after an excellent spring & summer in Grassroots playing for New World 17U on the Adidas Circuit. Terence is an excellent defender, rebounder who finishes very well in traffic & has expanded his shooting range. He is an excellent athlete who runs & sees the court very well. Terence who has an excellent upside & we project him at the D1 mid major level at this time.
Gus Okafor,6’5″, W, Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders HS. Greenbelt MD. Liberty Heights Prep (NC)
Eleanor Roosevelt finished last season @ 20-5, losing to Wise in OT in Regional Finals. As a junior, Gus played on the ER 2015/16 MD 4A State Championship team which finished @ 24-3 & ranked #2 in the DMV by the Washington Post. Gus can go outside & hit the 3 or power up inside & finish thru contact. He is an excellent athlete & slasher. Currently we rate Gus as a D2 & up prospect with great upside.
Demarius Pitts, 6’4″ Frederick Douglass Eagles HS. Upper Marlboro, MD. Springfield Commonwealth Academy (MA)
Last season Frederick Douglass was one of the most talented teams in MD with 3 plus D1 players. 6’8″ Zion Cousins signed with Howard & 6’5″ PG Donald Carey committed to Mt. St. Marys who made the NCCA Tournament last year. Demarius is an excellent college prospect who is a D2 to D1 mid major who can score from all 3 levels & defend. He averaged 13 ppg, 5rpg, 2 apg for Douglass HS last year who finished at 20-4. He is very tough & versatile.
