Prospect Spotlight: Isaiah Gross (2019)
Isaiah Gross, a class of 2019 wing at Eleanor Roosevelt, has put together a strong body of work this offseason, both with his high school and AAU club. The rising junior has been a standout this spring with District Basketball Club, and has a chance to make a significant impact this summer and beyond.
“My game type is aggressive but also patience,” Gross stated. “I pass the ball well. Not a lot of people see how hungry I am, but its starting to show.”
We expect Gross to be a key contributor not only for District Basketball, but for Roosevelt as well. He is the type of player who can make his mark on the game in a variety of ways, and prides himself on having a high motor. Gross has showcased a nice skill set, but is continuing to work to improve that aspect of his game.
“I have improved on finishing at the rim, my ball handling, and my Jump shot,” Gross explained. “I still need to work on the consistency of my jump shot.”
Gross is in the Honor Roll, and has a 3.3 GPA. Columbia University, High Point University, and Holy Cross University are among the schools he’s reportedly receiving interest from. What can a college program expect from Gross at the next level?
“I think I can bring energy, aggression, and leadership to a college program.”
