Oklahoma Wolfpack 16U wins Summer Slam
Oklahoma Wolfpack 16u entered the weekend feeling pretty good after a 3-1 weekend at the Hardwood classic the weekend before. The only loss came at the hands of Mokan 16u Select in a game in which the Wolfpack led the entire way until the final minutes. Add to it the fact that starting Point Guard Tre Waggnor was away on a baseball trip and the confidence entering this weekend was at an all-time high. The first game of the weekend showed just how athletic the Wolfpack team was as there were multiple highlight dunks by wings Jeff and Jack foreman as well as big man Antonio Gordon. Despite the strong showing, once again the Wolfpack let off the gas a lost in Double OT to the Illinois Bears on a long 3 point shot with three seconds remaining. This however proved to be just the wake-up call that was needed. The next game the Wolfpack cruised to a 67-53 win over the Freedom Hoops Blazers again proving to
The next game the Wolfpack cruised to a 67-53 win over the Freedom Hoops Blazers again proving to be too athletic for the competition. In the second round, the Wolfpack jumped out to an early lead and never looked back for a 60-45 win over Iowa Pump and Run Black.

“It was a fun ride with a great group of young men,” said Anthony Baker, Wolfpack Head Coach.
Waggnor has improved his stock this summer with the Oklahoma Wolfpack showing some impressive scoring talents at the Point Guard spot. Look for a big year from Waggnor this season at Bixby. Antonio Gordon is another player who continues to rise in the 2019 Class.
If this Oklahoma Wolfpack team can stay together for next season, they will be a stout group.
