Prep Hoops Staff
The Prep Hoops staff was on hand with a comprehensive report of the Adidas programs from Oklahoma in South Carolina. Oklahoma Power and Gym Time Hoops 17U teams both competed on the Adidas Circuit. Oklahoma Power 16U also traveled and competed in the Summer Havoc tournament.
Jalen Crutchfield 2018 Oklahoma Power Wing
Crutchfield shot the ball lights out from downtown. He nailed six three-pointers twice this weekend shooting very efficiently. The shooting talents from Crutchfield caught the eyes of several Low Major Division I coaches. Saturday night Stetson extended an offer to Crutchfield. The improvement in Crutchfield’s ball handling skills have opened up more on the offensive end. He could very well be the best three-point shooter in the Oklahoma 2018 Class.
Mason Webb 2018 Oklahoma Power Wing
Webb scored the ball well this weekend for Oklahoma Power. From three-point range Webb heated up. It was the pull up jumper of Webb from mid-range that really opened up things for him this weekend. Webb surprised people who have not seen him before with his ability to get to the rim and finish. He is hearing from several Low Major Division I programs.
Mo Wilson 2018 Oklahoma Power Wing
Wilson had an excellent overall weekend for the Oklahoma Power. He consistently made the right basketball decisions on the court. Wilson was a stat sheet stuffer all weekend long on the Wing. He scored the ball well using his length to rise above and hit the jumper. Wilson currently holds an offer from the Division II level from Central Oklahoma. With the weekend he had expect his recruitment to elevate.
Kamden Gipson 2018 Oklahoma Power Point Guard
Gipson was great at the Point Guard spot controlling the game masterfully. He set his teammates up for success notching top in assists for the Oklahoma Power this weekend. The drive to the hoop and three-point shooting was where Gipson found great success. Gipson has no current offers, but projects to the Division II level. Look for interest to increase in Gipson after the great summer he has had.
Shemar Smith 2019 Oklahoma Power Forward
Smith is easily one of the most improved players in the Oklahoma 2019 Class. The Prep Hoops team described him as “Strong, powerful, great motor with big time upside.” Smith just never stops going on both ends of the floor. A 6’6 Smith is an emerging stretch four that is projected to the Division I level. He dominated this weekend making his presence known. Smith has improved his three-point shooting, which just adds yet another element to his game.
Kellen Hines 2019 Oklahoma Power Guard
Hines got hot shooting the ball exceptionally well from distance and mid-range. The crossover of Hines left to right is smooth and allows him to get the little bit of room he needs to make defenders pay with his jumper. Hines holds a Division II offer heading into his junior year and it is easy to see why. Hines was a key scorer for Oklahoma Power in South Carolina.
Mason Harrell 2018 Gym Time Hoops Point Guard
Harrell was fantastic for Gym Time Hoops this weekend leading them on a semifinal run in South Carolina. He averaged 25 points and 8 assists per game. Harrell displayed his dynamic ability to shine against some of the top talent Adidas had to offer in there challenge bracket in South Carolina. With the ball in his hands Harrell was excellent at creating for himself and others. Harrell holds an offer from Binghamton with several others Division I schools expressing interest.
Colt Savage 2018 Gym Time Hoops Wing
Savage is picking up interest at the Division I and Division II levels with his play with Gym Time Hoops. He scored the ball well and efficiently. The jumper of Savage is what has colleges looking strongly at the 6’5 Wing. Something that helps Savage as well is his ability to handle the ball. Savage averaged double-digits in the points for Gym Time Hoops.
Carson Meier 2018 Gym Time Hoops Wing
Meier joined up with Gym Time Hoops for this weekend in South Carolina where he showcased his improved skills on the court. Several Low Major Division I programs have reached out to Meier over the summer. This weekend Meier did a great job of getting to the rim. Meier scored the ball at all three levels. He scored in double-digits each game.
