Noah Locke’s list continues to grow as AAU comes to a close
2018 McDonogh/Team Melo guard Noah Locke has been one of the biggest stock risers this summer. As we approach the last week of July, the 2018 class will partake in their final AAU tournament of their lives.
For Locke, it’s another chance to showcase why he is collecting high major offers by the handful. The sharpshooter has been playing at a high level since April. Since July, the top-80 guard has been offered by West Virginia, N.C. State, Florida State, Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Ohio State.
Those schools will join 30 others trying to land Locke’s services. Some other schools that have been recruiting him include Maryland, Virginia, Notre Dame, and Michigan to name a few.
Recently, Locke was a clear standout at the Victor Oladpio Skill Academy that featured other top players in the country. He’s without a doubt one of the best shooters in the country, and that’s a big reason why schools that run a plethora of different systems are after him. All teams can use shooting, and Locke’s playing style can fit into anyone’s offensive schemes.
The last time I caught up with Locke, he wasn’t close to making a decision. He still plans on taking visits to many of his choices. Although he hasn’t scheduled any at the moment, the majority of them could happen in the August-September time frame.
Don’t expect the offers to stop any time soon. Although his list consists of more than 30 schools, Team Melo will be in front of a great deal of coaches as they take place in the Fab 48 Challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend.
