Double Pump Best of Summer – San Diego stock raisers
After two days of the Double Pump Best of Summer tournament, it’s clear which prospects spent the month of June in the proverbial “lab.”
A number of San Diego prospects have shown big leaps in their development.
Here are five that stood out to us.
- Beon Riley, 6-4 G, San Diego Select – Known for his downhill scoring, Riley has improved his feel on the perimeter and his mid-range scoring.
- Gage Sanders, 6-1 PG, Gamepoint 17u Select – Sanders, who has stretched from 5-6 as a freshman, has improved his lateral quickness and burst. As a result, he’s becoming a threat to score from all three levels against bigger athletes.
- Malcolm Little, 6-3 PG, Supreme Court – Little, an underrated point guard, has become a knockdown shooter to complement his fairly explosive athleticism.
- Christian Rose, 6-6 PF, Gamepoint 16u Elite – Rose has made a nice jump on the offensive end, scoring it from mid-range and finishing plays at – and above – the rim.
- Chibuzo Agbo, 6-6 WF, College Bound – The 2020 forward looks more comfortable handling and scoring the ball from the perimeter. He looks more and more like a high-major wing.
