Adidas Gauntlet Finale (Spartanburg): Louisville Magic (17u) Drops Close Contest to Team Loaded NC
The Adidas Gauntlet series is in its Finale stages down in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The event started last night and really heated up today. Prep Hoops Kentucky looks to update you on all the action featuring programs and prospects from the Bluegrass State.
The Louisville Magic kicked off Friday morning against a very talented Team Loaded (NC) program, falling 54-61. The two teams were tied at the half 30-30. A 45% 3-pt field goal percentage wasn’t enough to hold off Team Loaded. The Magic tip-off again at 3:40 on Court 4 of the Upward Stars Center.
Chance Moore continues to play well. The now 2018 Beckley Prep (WV) prospect from Fern Creek in Louisvlle led the Magic in scoring once again, scoring 18 points while finding ways to draw fouls and get to the line. He shot 6-8 from the charity stripe and 50% from the field.
Louisville Trinity standout Jayden Scrubb contributed 11 points in 17 minutes of play. He was 4-7 from the field, with 9 of his points coming from deep.
A player to keep an eye on down in Spartanburg for the Louisville Magic is 2019 big man Dieonte Miles from Walton-Verona. Miles is considered one of the big men in Kentucky. The 6’8 F/C helped lead Walton-Verona to a 26-7 record as a sophomore, averaging 12 points and 6 rebounds. He had 4 points and 4 rebounds in today’s contest.
