Taiwan Star Transfers from Wesley Christian to Hargrave Military Academy
Now former-Wesley Christian guard Benson Lin has decided to transfer from the Circuit Riders to be a part of the national recognized program at Hargrave Military Academy. He joins another Kentucky prospect in Korbin Spencer (2019) on Hargrave’s varsity roster next season. Lin is considered to be Taiwan’s best basketball prospect in history.
Lin joins Christian Lorng as the latest player to leave the Wesley Christian program.
The 6’4 guard from Taiwan first burst unto the scene after a 29 point performance against prep powerhouse Huntington Prep. He scored his 29 points on 14 shots, shooting 6-8 from 3-point range. See espn.com article here about Lin’s coming out party and the label as the “Next Jeremy Lin”.
As a junior at Wesley Christian, Lin averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals per game. This summer Lin is playing with Kentucky’s premier Adidas Gauntlet program, the Louisville Magic. He is averaging right at 10 points per game and shooting 37% from the field.
Lin currently holds offers from Winthrop, Elon, Rice, Stetson, and Drexel and is receiving interest from West Virginia, Oklahoma, Butler, Creighton, and Oregon State.
