2019 Oklahoma recruitment heating up
This week is the first week 2019 prospects across the nation can be called by Division I coaches. Prep Hoops talked to several 2019 players who were contacted this week by Division I schools. Get a look at what schools are on prospects from Oklahoma in the early recruiting process.

Kobe Burgess Ada/Team Griffin Combo Guard
Burgess has been called by ORU and Tulsa. He plans to attend ORU next Friday for an unofficial visit. Burgess is ranked as the top player in the 2019 Oklahoma Class. Burgess is the most dominant two player in the Oklahoma 2019 Class.
Micah Thomas PC North/Oklahoma Run PWP Point Guard
Thomas already holds an offer from Missouri State they reached out as soon as they could. Tulsa also called Thomas. He also said Denver shot him a text. Thomas is a Point Guard with a good handle and the ability to fill it up.
Kalib Boone Tulsa Memorial/Oklahoma Run PWP Post
ORU reached out and offered Boone adding to his list with Tulsa. Boone heard from Denver and UC Irvine as well this last week. Boone is a rising 6’8 Post with tons of upside. He excels at rebounding the basketball and blocking shots in the paint.
Keylan Boone Tulsa Memorial/Oklahoma Run PWP Wing
Boone is an intriguing 6’5 Wing who has come a long way this spring. He received a call and offer from ORU this week. He also heard from Denver and UC Irvine. Boone is starting to become a scoring threat from distance. He is long and lanky with a good 6’5 and growing build.
Julian Smith Sapulpa/Team Griffin Point Guard
Smith has been contacted by Tulsa, ORU and UCO. He is a high volume shooter with sniper deep range. Smith will be looking to build off of last year with a big scoring outburst at Sapulpa.
Camryn Dennis Broken Arrow/Team Griffin Point Guard
Dennis has been contacted by Oklahoma, Tulsa, ORU and UCO. Dennis is a dynamic Point Guard with some crafty handles. He scores it well from all three levels.
Ben Smith Edmond Santa Fe/Team Griffin Wing
Smith is picking up interest from Tulsa. They reached out to get to know the 2019 Oklahoma Wing better. He is a player with tons of upside who is just beginning to tap his potential on the Wing.
Seth Hurd Booker T. Washington/Oklahoma Run PWP Post
Hurd was contacted by ORU, Missouri State and Denver this week. Denver has already extended an offer to the 6’6 Post. Hurd is a workhorse in the paint that continue to improve each game out.
