2018 Rankings: Top Power Forwards
The class of 2018 is a solid one here in the Bluegrass State. With our release of the latest version of the 2018 Prospect Rankings, we look to break down each position. Prep Hoops Kentucky breaks down the top power forwards here:
Zach Kelch, Simon Kenton (6’8, 22 Vision AAU)
Kelch got good exposure playing with 22 Vision the first two live periods on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit. He picked up an offer from Army West Point and has visit the Naval Academy and Air Force. He averaged 12.2 points and 8 rebounds per game as a junior last season.
Michael Burns, Louisville Butler (6’8, WKY Elite AAU)
Burns has flown under the under but is a legitimate college prospect. He only averaged 5.2 points last season, but look for those numbers to improve. WKY Elite is a very good AAU program as well. He should get valuable experience with them.
Pierce Kiesler, St. Xavier (6’7, Louisville Prospects)
Kiesler averaged 16.6 points and 6 rebounds per game. He also helped lead St. Xavier to a 19-12 record.
Dalton Perkins, Mason County (6’9, Hoop Dreams)
Perkins has a lot of upside once he can figure out how to use his length and size to his advantage. He’s raw, but he defensive abilities will give him an opportunity to play college basketball somewhere. He is playing summer ball with Hoop Dreams. At Mason County last season, he averaged 5 points and 6 rebounds per game.
