2018 Rankings: Top Bigs

The class of 2018 is a solid one here in the Bluegrass State. With our release of the latest version of the 2018 Prospect Rankings, we look to break down each position. Prep Hoops Kentucky breaks down it’s top big men here:
The big man position in Kentucky is a rarity in the 2018 class.
Jake Walter, Covington Catholic (7’1, Indiana Elite AAU)
Kentucky’s #1 big man, and top five overall prospect. Walter currently holds offers from Miami, Indiana State, Western Illinois, Bowling Green, Kent State, Boston University, Stetson, Northern Kentucky, Toledo, Wright State, and Ball State. He helped lead Covington Catholic to a 29-6 overall record, falling just short of another Colonel state tournament appearance. He averaged 7 points and and 7 rebounds as a junior. He has had a fantastic showing in the first two live periods with Indiana Elite, a powerhouse in on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit.
Oumar Keita, Cordia (6’10, Louisville Magic AAU)
Keita averaged 10 points and 9 rebounds as a junior at Cordia High School last season. He helped them to a 13-11 overall record. This summer with the Louisville Magic, Keita has been impress on the boards. His best game came against Garner Road, where he had 5 points and 8 rebounds in 18 minutes. He was also perfect from the line.
Ethan Driskell, Holy Cross (6’9)
Driskell averaged right at 7 points and and 8 rebounds as a junior at Holy Cross (Louisville) last season. He helped lead Cougars to a 15 win season while almost shooting 60% from the field. Driskell is projected to play at the small college level.
