PWP 16U Red having great spring
The Oklahoma Run PWP 16U Red squad is not their UA Circuit team, but is littered full of players who are college bound players. Many of the players will be great fits at the Division II to JUCO level. They have competed in several events this spring get a look at some of their players below.
Jaden Ray 2019 Midwest City 5’8 Point Guard
He is super quick. Ray is a Great defender due to his quickness and effort on the court. At the Point Guard spot Ray is best at penetrating the defense and finding the open man. He is an assist machine and one of the most impactful players on the team. He makes others around him better. Also, defenses can’t sleep on him because Ray will make them pay from downtown. Ray was impressive statistically for PWP. He averaged 12 points, 4 assists, 2 steals. 4:1 assist/turnover ratio. Shooting 68% from the field (21/31).
Theran Smith 2019 Byng High School 6’6 Forward
Smith is a good athlete. He can catch and shoot from mid range and from three-point range as well. He is a good finisher at the rim. Smith is a lob catching machine with great leaping ability and can throw it down. Smith averaged 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks a game while shooting 68% from the field (13/19).
Hayden Peterson 2019 Owasso High School 6’0 Guard
He is a solid option for PWP at the Shooting Guard spot. He is a really good shooter from three-point and mid range. Also, has good finishing ability. Overall real fundamental player. He hit some huge shots for PWP in a few games during crunch time.
Seth Pomeroy 2019 Owasso High School 5’10 Point Guard
He is really good in transition. Fast guard who can really shoot it from three. Also, high IQ guy who creates for others pretty well at the Point Guard spot. Due to his shooting ability he can thrive off the ball too.
Cooper Peterson 2019 Edmond North 6’1 Guard
Peterson is a very consistent shooter for PWP. He can knock down the three-point shot well. He has been their best offensive player so far. He had 5 three-pointers in the championship game this past weekend in Kansas. Peterson averaged18 points a game on shooting 56% (22/39).
