Kentucky Trio Helps Indiana Elite Win Adidas Gauntlet Chicago Regional

Michael Moreno (Scott County), Kyle Rode (Lexington Christian), and Korbin Spencer (Elliott County) all suited up with Indiana Elite this weekend at the Adidas Gauntlet Chicago regional qualifier, helping their team go home with the championship.
All three prospects rank near the top of Kentucky’s talented 2019 class.
Michael Moreno currently holds offers from Iowa, IUPUI, and Bradley. He has taken visits to Louisville, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Indiana, and has plans to visit Creighton. The junior-to-be helped lead Scott County to one of the best records in the state last season, going 31-6 while making a trip to the Kentucky state tournament. He averaged 21.8 points and 10 rebounds per game. Moreno also finished well in the class room, boasting a 4.16 weighted GPA
Kyle Rode has visited Indiana, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Purdue. Rode helped Lexington Christian cap off it’s best season ever, going 23-9 and winning the 43rd District tournament. He averaged 14.5 points and 6 rebounds on the season. Rode sat out the championship game with an ankle sprain, but has performed well throughout.
Korbin Spencer has visited Marshall and Wisconsin, as well he has received interest from a number of other D1 programs. The Elliott County guard helped lead the Lions to another state tournament berth while averaging 22.3 points and 6 rebounds per game. In Indiana Elite’s championship game against D1 Minnesota, Spencer had 12 points, 3 steals, and 5 rebounds.
